Spryker QUEST
TERMS & CONDITIONS4. The Event
Spryker Quest is a developer competition hosted by Spryker, designed to reward individual contributors and freelancers who solve technical bounties by building code or features according to provided requirements. The Spryker Quest includes the opportunity to win monetary prizes on merit (see Section 9 below). This is not a sweepstake or lottery. The outcome depends on the participants’ skill and effort.
6. Registration
Participants must register online, provide accurate and complete information, and accept these Spryker Quest Terms. You can register for more than one quest but only once per quest. You can update your choice later by contacting Spryker via community@spryker.com
Upon registration, Spryker will create one private GitHub repository in the Spryker Community organization as your workspace (“Quest Workspace”) for each of the quests you choose. You must keep your access credentials confidential and carefully protect your Quest Workspace against unauthorized access by third parties. If you become aware of any misuse of your Quest Workspace by third parties, you must immediately inform Spryker.

8. Submissions
Spryker will open the submission form in the beginning of July 2025. Submissions need to include:
- A ZIP file of the repository containing your contribution, and
- A video (max. five (5) minutes) containing an explanation of the submission.
You agree not to upload, submit, or otherwise transmit any content or files that:
- contain viruses, malware, or any other harmful code;
- are designed to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the normal operation of the website, servers, or networks;
- are intended to gain unauthorized access to data, systems, or user accounts;
violate any applicable laws or third-party rights, including intellectual property and data protection laws;
- contain obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful material.
9. Prizes and Conditions for Winning
Submissions will be evaluated by a panel appointed by Spryker based on criteria such as creativity, technical merit and code quality, complexity and effort, innovation factor, and relevance to the category.
The winners of each Quest will receive:
- EUR 2,000
- An invitation to present their Submission at Spryker EXCITE 2025
Winners will be notified via email and must confirm acceptance within 14 days. Failure to respond may result in disqualification. Prizes are non-transferable and subject to applicable taxes and legal deductions.
Other participants, if their Submission meets the criteria outlined herein, may also be awarded:
- Spryker-branded merchandise (to be collected in person at Spryker EXCITE 2025)
- an Amazon voucher over EUR 100 (or equivalent in local currency)
11. Intellectual Property
Spryker grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, limited, free of charge right to use Spryker code only to the extent necessary to participate in the Spryker Quest. Such right does not include the right to (i) use the code to set up a production live system or any other purposes apart from preparing a submission for the Spryker Quest; (ii) copy and keep any part of the code; (iii) distribute, disclose, market, rent, lease, or transfer the code or act as a service bureau with respect to the code; (iv) export the code or install it in multiple locations; (v) disclose any confidential information provided by Spryker; (vi) modify or make derivative works of the code; or (vii) allow others to make or obtain copies of the code.
You must publish your Quest code under the MIT License, making it available for anyone to use or modify.
12. Final provisions
Spryker is liable only for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for the type of contract, and only if a material contractual duty is breached.
You are responsible for ensuring that your submissions do not infringe on third-party rights.
German laws shall apply without its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from ir in relation to these Spryker Community Terms will be resolved before the courts of Berlin.
Should any provisions contained herein be or become invalid or ineffective in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
